We are Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world's leading on-demand Cloud Computing Platform provider. As of 2025, AWS is positioned as a Leader, holding the market share at 41% in cloud infrastructure and platform services (CIPS), according to Gartner report.
What’s this about?
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, which are the fields with talent shortage these years. We host virtual and in-person STEM events to provide students with a chance to learn about cloud technology and AI technology, raise awareness of the breadth of career opportunities, and stimulate the possibility of future development in this direction. Previous STEM events have covered introductions to Cloud Computing, Machine Learning and GenAI topics, hands-on workshops, and AWS career journey sharing.
Program Tenets
- Social Responsibility – We deliver an impactful learning experience to empower learners with insight into their future possibilities and their own potential.
- Team Building – We provide learners with an opportunity to immerse themselves in Amazon's culture and foster camaraderie with peers.
- Diversity - We value diversity and recognize that some groups (gender; socio-economic background, etc.) may have had less access to STEM opportunities. We are open to all.
- Learner-centric Approach – We tailor events to align with the unique needs and interests of learners.
AWS STEM events in 2026
In 2024 and 2025 we held 8 STEM events in Taiwan, and we sincerely invite and look forward to having NCCU students join us in the 2026 STEM events. Below is the proposed STEM event content (around 3 hours).
